Scheduled downtime this Friday to Saturday

Heads up, folks -- we're going to be upgrading our server's software in the wee hours of this coming Saturday morning, so we will have to shut down Appliantology for a few hours.

The downtime will be from 2/7/2025 11:00 PM EST to 2/8/2025 5:00 AM EST -- so most of you will sleep right through it. However, due to the hairy nature of software upgrades, there could be some lingering weirdness going into the day on Saturday.

Consider yourself forewarned, and see you on the other side!

It’s always a nail-biting experience. Me and Sam will have the coffee pot cranking during the migration. There are ALWAYS glitches with this process. Usually small and can be fixed quickly. But sometimes major borkage occurs. So if the site is still down at 6am Saturday, then you know we hit a dog pile. 💩

Hopefully, we be back up early Saturday morning and no will ever know we had several hours of downtime.

We did an Invisionboard update a few days ago. It was a standard security update, no big deal.

Seamonkey is Mozilla-based, like Firefox. Does Firefox work for you?

I use different browsers for different things... I have safari to post here... no problem!

And we're back! Hit a few snags and speedbumps along the way. Click around and try different things. If you come across anything borky, let us know.

Thanks for your patience!
