Hi, my Kenmore 80 (110.20802990) has symptom where it makes noise during spin and the agitator starts out spinning but then slips and stops spinning.

see video:

Everything else seems to be working fine, tried replacing some stuff.

If you already replaced clutch assembly https://www.repairclinic.com/PartDetail/Clutch/285785/2670.

I would suggest taking out the transmission and motor from the tub assembly and running it outside. If you have the same issue, then you need to replace the transmission.

See the picture; reconnect the wire harness to the motor once the transmission and motor are out and run in the spin cycle.

Thank you, I will take it apart again this weekend and try!

I didn’t have a new clutch at time, since I didn’t think that was the issue originally, but I did replace the neutral drain gears in the transmission, as I first thought the noise must be in the transmission.

Now I have the clutch parts in hand and can try that.
