Maytag washer F7E1 error after gearcase replacement

I have a Maytag MVW4505MW0 washer about two years old - not even dusty yet.

It had a noisy bearing in the gearcase, so I replaced the gearcase. Ran the calibration routine and received a F7E1 tachometer error.

Cleared the error codes, repeated calibration and received the same F7E1 code again.

Obtained the Tech Manual, verified the splutch operation was smooth and correct, the basket and agitator were smooth and correct & not locked together. The motor turned freely and shows no signs of damage.

Ran troubleshooting tests and replaced the shifter actuator. Recalibrated and received the same F7E1 error. Repeated several times and received the same error.

Replaced the capacitor, recalibrated and received the same F7E1 error.

When running the component activation tests, the unit passes the fill and drain tests, passes the direction test, shifts the splutch and fails on the rotation speed tests.

The motor and shifter resistance check within spec through the harness. The main board is supplying voltage to the motor. The harness is intact, undamaged and all connectors are properly seated.

The mainboard passes the 1 & 3A tests, and has a proper flashing green LED.

Welcome any recommendations for getting this machine operational again.

Thanks, erik

Please disregard. Problem solved.

There was a broken CW motor wire in the harness, right next to the anchor on the capacitor.

Repaired that, recalibrated and appears to be operating fine thus far.

Thanks, erik
