Samsung RFG298HDRS Freezer Ice Maker Stopped Working

This fridge has a water dispenser in the door and 2 ice makers, 1 in the fridge and 1 in the freezer.  The water dispenser and fridge ice maker work fine.

Freezer ice maker started making a grinding noise when trying to dump so I turned it off.  Noticed it was dumping water as well into the ice bucket.

Finally took it apart yesterday to get to it and there was a ton of ice in there...  Melted it a little and hit the cycle button so it would dump the big ice chunk and it did.  Turned it back on, but it doesn't seem to dump when I cycle it...  like the ice won't let loose from the mold.  So it just dumps more water on top of the ice already in the mold and that's why it gets a big chunk and puts water in the bucket...

I turned off the power to the fridge a few times to try to reset it (it had stopped working a few years ago and the unplug fixed it)...  and power was off for a good while yesterday while I removed everything from the freezer to get to that ice maker, but that still didn't seem to fix the issue.

Any ideas before I buy a new ice maker?
