Frigidaire FGHC2331PFCA, confused about checking 5v signal

Is the 5v signal from the main board checked with the inverter board connected or disconnected?

I have been looking for this answer and I am confused now.

I see some youtube videos check the 5v signal with the inverter board disconnected and some with the inverter board connected.

I saw the youtube SamuraiRepairman video, so I am here now.

My Frigidaire FGHC2331PFCA compressor is not turning on.

I am checking the 5v signal,

with inverter board connected, 0v

with inverter board disconnected, 5v

So is the main board bad or good, it sends 5v with inverter board disconnected and 0v with inverter board connected.
