Whirlpool washer is very loud when it spins

I have a 2021 Whirlpool WTW4816FW2 washer, it’s been sounding like a plane taking off on the spin cycle and I don’t know what’s causing it. It’s not banging or out of balance, but it’s noisy on the spin cycle.

How I can describe it is a loud noise that gets faster as the spin cycle speeds up, at its full speed it’s like a jet engine taking off. Very loud.

The way you describe the sound like a jet taking off as it ramps up speed is classic bad bearings in the gearcase, which would require a new gearcase to repair.  It's not a terribly difficult job but you've got to pretty much tear the machine down all the way to do it. Part number for the gearcase is #W11454741 and the OEM part will run you upwards of $250-300 but aftermarket gearcases are available for half that on amazon/ebay BUT you do get what you pay for. You will also need the appropriate spanner wrench to remove the hub nut under the agitator. Here is a video showing how it's done if you feel so inclined.
