My brother said his Whirlpool WTW5000DW2 washing machine he bought in 2019 sounds like a jet taking off when spinning, which is the same symptom I’m having on my 2021 Whirlpool WTW4816FW2 washing machine.

He even shared this video with me which shows it running: https://streamable.com/8bjobv

What kind of problem did you have with the Amazon tool?  I only ask because it has been recommended in here before to buy the bearing/shaft and tool kit from Amazon for less than what the OEM Whirlpool tool cost but don't use the Amazon bearing/shaft kit - purchase the bearing/shaft kit as OEM.

The bearing got stuck in the tool when I tightened it up into the tub... To the point when i had to remove it I had to pound it out for 20 min. I bought a 2nd kit and a different type of problem the tolerances were off by a lot. When I broke down and bought the Whirlpool it was like butter Being something big I really didn't think it would matter but it did in such a poor way... I was getting help by a senior tech they had no idea...

FYI I bought two tools from two different sellers...

@dfphoto Good to know - I definitely won't recommend the aftermarket tool then - I really didn't think they could screw up the tool that badly just being aftermarket.

I probably got unlucky they sell thousands I could not take a chance since I had to come back to CX 3x
