Refridgerator Water Line Flush - Kenmore 106.57862801

Hi there,

I'm working on replacing the ice maker on my Kenmore fridge and my wife brought up the idea of cleaning out the water lines and since neither of us is a plumber or an appliance technician we wanted to check if this is a regular thing to service on fridges with built in water dispensers / ice makers. My family has owned the fridge since new and it's been relatively well loved, although we never put water filters in it.

On my particular fridge this looks a little difficult to do, I think in order to accomplish this I'll need to create a bottle I can put in line with the water feed to then fill with vinegar, then energize the water solenoids to run the vinegar through the lines. That was my thought anyways.

Any advice is appreciated!

Thanks!
