Maytag MDC5100AWW dishwasher small leak

Got a Maytag MDC5100AWW portable dishwasher that is leaking a small, noncatastrophic amount of detergent-laden water from the right front corner (as you stand in front of the machine looking at it). This model has the door seal in a channel on the main body of the machine, not on the door itself. My guess is a faulty door seal, but perhaps someone here can comment from experience, or at least tell me how to diagnose it for sure. Any info appreciated, thanks!

Check the little grommet that surrounds the latch assembly on the detergent dispenser door, I bet it's deteriorated.

Thanks, Scott, I will do. Any tips on disassembly and inspection? This machine was purchased in 2003 or so, used little, and then sat unused for several years before being put back into service about a month ago.
