Frigidaire Dryer, Model# FSE446RHS2

I have to replace the rear bearing on this dryer which has the controls attached to the front panel.

Does the control panel have to be removed before taking the front panel off or can the whole panel be swung to the side with the controls and wiring still attached? Then the drum can be removed.

Thanks.

Use a putty knife to pop the spring clips to remove the main top, disconnect the main wiring harness for the control panel and door switch, remove screws from inside the main front attatching it to dryer cabinet sides,  pull main front with control panel still attatched to it towards you and lift up, then you have access to the drum.

Thanks.

I thought you should not have to remove the control panel but the diagram I have wasn't clear enough.
