I'm trying to fix a maytag gas stove, this is where i'm at so far.  model# MGR5750ADW plugged it in and pushed the "bake" button, set the temp to 350. the preheat lite came on and it beeped for about 5 sec.then F1 flashed, then F3 flashed, then it went back to the clock reading and the "bake" lite went out. i then looked at the FAQ's and found that F3 is a sub-code of F1 that says the oven sensor is open or shorted. i found a table that says at 100 F. it should be at 1143 ohms. at the 200K setting it read 2.5, but at the audible setting it flashed 1155 and then went blank. I put it back together, and now no fault code will show at all. how do i start the fault code to work again, how do i check the sparker for the oven. the repair clinic part# for the Electronic Range Control is 778600

The fault code won't reappear util something goes wrong again. You could of had just a bad connection or you could have a bad sensor. Only time will tell.

thanks for the note, but the stove has not worked since it displayed the code. Wont show a code, wont work (just the oven)

Disconnect power to the range, wait about five minutes then reconnect the power. It should display the fault code again. If that doesn't work, try unplugging the sensor. That should throw up an error code. You probably have a bad sensor or bad wiring to it.
