Calypso "LD"

I checked the pump for obstructions and took all of the hoses off to make sure there was nothing stuck in there, and found nothing. After hooking everything back up, the washer will put water in the machine for about a minute then immediately drain the water out and keep draining until the LD code comes up. This happens on every cycle.

I had a calypso about a year ago that did the same thing and it was a bad control board.  Has anyone else seen this same problem?

Thanks

Ld code states - flashes if it takes longer than 5 minutes to pump out water to a point where the operating pressure switch resets.

Test the switch by checking for voltage across pins P & V of the operating pressure switch. If reading is 12VDC the switch is open meaning water level is "full"

Hope this helps, not an issue I have personally run into.

One place to check for an obstruction is the the drain hose. At the end where it attaches to the sump, there is a built-in duckbill check valve. Often there is a foreign object or just a bunch of goop restricting the drain flow.

I had one with a dime stuck in the hose, drove me nuts finding it.

Had several issues with the Calipso pumps. Whirlpool has changed the pump to a pump and motor together to keep the pump splines from stripping. Stupid question but have you checked the splines on the pump? the new pn is 285990. I've had a lot of trouble with these stripping out.

Well, the problem actually turned out to be some gunk that was partially restricting the hose that connects to the pressure/water level switch. I hate these machines.

These machines (unlike the new Cabrio) are very problematic. I hated replacing the seals in these.
