Installation of Ge Dishwasher Inlet Sump

Recently I posted the following  in the main section.

Anyone know how to remove and install an inlet sump, part number WD18X213, on a GE dishwasher?

It looks to me like it just pops out if you push up from below but I am unsure about what makes it watertight when you install the new one.

Thanks for any advice.

Blith 15 kindly repsonded with:

steve- two clamps need to be loosened.  you will also get a bunch of water when it is disconnected.  have towels or a shop vac ready for wet pick up.  i'm not sure if you have to remove the front support arm holding the motor or not.  you may have to to get enough play. might even be easier pulling the motor, attaching the sump inlet and then reattaching the motor.

I repsonded with:

BLTH15,

Thanks for the response.

Where are the clamps located? Does the dishwasher have to be pulled from underneath the counter or can I do this by feel?

Does anyone know the answers to my last questions?

Thanks,

Steve

Hi Steve, what's the model number of the diswasher you're working on?

Thanks for getting back but I was able to figure it out. It just pops right out.
