But I can't watch my life wasting away while I sit on the washer lid.....

I need advise how to either make an adjustment, or remove and replace the lid switch.

This excerpt from the service manual for this washer should explain everything you need to know about adjusting/replacing the lid lock and switch assembly.  The complete service manual for this stacker unit is on the Xdrive.  Let me know if you have any other questions.
