Frigidaire Range CFEF388CEB-1

I have a Frigidaire Range, Model #CFEF388CEB-1 with a smooth glass range top.

The front-right burner's inner ring no longer heats up.

Rather than throwing out all my small pots, is there a way oh Samurai to bring the inner part of this burner back from the departed without replacing the entire ($$$) range top???

I anxiously await your sage advice while choking down cold baked beans...

See if this is similar to your Cooktop and if this looks like your Wiring diagram - closest US model number I can get is FEF388CJBA - unless some of our northern techs can get us a cross-reference...

I'm not sure how I'd tell--where would I find the Wiring Diagram in a range?  (In a dishwasher, I know it's under the kick panel, but haven't seen it in this range (yet) ).

Also, from the wiring diagram you've posted, it looks like each burner assembly is a replaceable part -- yes?

Yes, each element can be replaced individually if necessary. Most likely the inner element is open. Could also be a faulty switch.

wiring diagram is in control panel usually under the clock, 5 screws along the top, 2 on back of the plastic end caps, conrol panel tilts down, easier, 2 screws under top, tilt top up, pry big spring clamp securing element and remove, inspect element closely, you can see if these elements are burnt.

also, in canada that element has a 5 year part warranty if the unit was built before 2006, serial number would be NF5 <-- 5 is the year built, so any number under 5, but you have to pay a servicer the labour to get the part for free so ask your cost of the element and what they would charge to install, a 60 dollar element isn't free if you have to pay me 64.92 to install it  :P
