Hello,

I encounter this fridge with ice maker, its making ice and harvesting but the drum ice dispenser is getting stuck, so i dump all the ice and investigate the problem. without the ice inside the bin, i turn the mechanism manually from the back from its drive shaft it seems ok except the round thing that lifts the ice to the shoot(drum ice disp) wont turn, i believe some gear is worn out or so. if i can see a diagram to this particular mechanism i can tackle it maybe. is there anybody familiar with this problem? is there a replaceable parts for this? is this a wear and tear thing? the fridge is 10yrs old and still in prestine condition.

I Appreciate the help i can get.

Not familiar with this problem in the Friggidaires, but have seen it lots in the GE's where frost accumulation on the bin augur would seize the augur.  This diagram may help you troubleshoot further.

frigidaire doesn't have a pic for that old of a model and i'm on leave from work so have no puter access there right now to show you a pic of the prob, but... right at the front of the ice bin is a flat steel bar with a square keyway, that keyway is stripped causeing your problem... well as near as i can tell from this side of my puter up here in canada  :P
