found bad relay/overload..replaced, verified coils were getting cold, and went on my marry way. only to be called back the next day...freezer works great..but refrigerator is warm.. removed upper duct/cowling to check fan..flapper was closed so i opened manually but still no cigar...I hate these GE's @#%&:yikes:

I know there should be a way to put this unit in diag. mode, but I cant find anything on the tech sheet..any help is much appreciated.:?

hold down the 4 buttons (at the same time) that control the temps (2 for  the freezer and 2 for  the ref) after a couple seconds the display will flash 0 on each display then press the freezer warmer button to show the #1 and leave the ref at zero, press any of the center buttons (I usually do quick chill) the trest procedure will then start.....with the covers removed you should see the dampers work if good

the guide I have is so crazy it says to check for continuity of the wires a the board and harness, if contiuity is good replace the damper, then if the damper still doesn't work replace the board  hope this helps

to exit the diagnostic mode make the controls show 1 on the freezer and 6 on the ref side display and hit the center button this should put it back to normal

I read something that pegi posted about a recall on the GSS mod#'s mostly about moister build up..but there was a reference to the PSS line and "other problems"..anyone know what those other problems were and is this unit included in recall...It's not yet 2 years old..
