I'm looking at a $900 difference between the R410a Ac and a R22. I know, I know, "R22 is being phased out, expect higher prices." But at what point is it not worth the extra cost for the unit.

Can't predict the future, but are there not already possible R22 substitutes and better ones likely to be developed. And by 2020 shouldn't there be a nice stockpile.

Any insight out there?

Are we comparing apples to apples? Such as a R22 13 SEER Brand A to a R410A 13 SEER Brand A?
