Does anyone know the part number for the bearing kit for this washer? The kit I am looking for  does not include the outer tub.

Thanks,

Fix it Guy

The only bearing kit I can find is the one with the outer tub, I will check tomorrow when I get to work, but I think it's no longer available seperately

I found this Maytag number  12002022.  I think it is correct but not sure.  Says it is a seal kit but photos show bearing also.

It looks like a bearing, but it's not. There are 2 seals in that kit.

Appl. Tech, I do believe that you are correct.  I thought that I recieved a bullitin from Maytag awhile back with a bearing kit but can't  find it.

Thanks

I couldn't find a bulletin on this but I did find these depressing words straight from the service manual.

BEARINGS

The bearings are not repairable or replaceable.

Replacement of the complete outer tub assembly

is required.

That's not what fixit-guy is looking for. There was a link to a tool that you could use to remove and reinstall new bearings in the rear tub shell without replacing the whole thing, it also had links to bearings.

I still can't find the one I know I've seen somewhere in this forum, but did find this one: http://beesmart-ezway.com/for_maytag_1.htm

Actually that might be the link, here's the forum discussion where someone used the kit from this company: http://www.applianceguru.com/forum2/11277.html
