Toilets

I realize its not technically an appliance but the Samurai himself suggested that I post this Q:

What are the best parts for toilet repair? Seems the crappy warehouse flushmaster plastico junk breaks pretty easily. Who's goning to actually use the "lifetime warranty" anyway? you gonna rip out the parts, find a $15 receipt that's 2 years old only to wait 6-8 weeks for them to send you a new plastic crap piece?

Ideas?

We gave up on our low/slow :flush: 3.5gal flushing toilet ,

and bought a Mansfield Quantum 1.6gal :toiletgrab: w/power assist  (from water pressure).

(I've always wanted to use those Emoticons)

It flushes on the first try 9/10 times, never has overflowed , even with repeated flushes

We bought the elongated ADA height from a plumbing supply store.

paid  a few years ago:   NOW LIST

146-123 Round   $230   $364

147-123 Elongated  $235 $371

148-123 Elongated ADA Height $285 $450

(turn your sound all the way up, they're loud)   :)

Old Country Buffet in Milwaukee uses them (if it works for them, it should work for you).

The Sloan valve/system previously had a 5 year warranty.

The changed it to a 10 year warranty.

yeah, i'm with RegUS. I have a Jameco 1.6 GPF and it was only about $200 @ home depot....best one I have owned by far. you can clog it up and it still wont overflow.

Yeah, I like the golf ball flushers also, but I have four toilets and not happy about dropping $200 per unit to replace the whole thing.

I just need the guts, the stuff in the top tank, the flushmaster brand seems to be flimsy. Runs maybe $20 for the set at a giant warehouse store. They do not offer any commercial grade parts, nor anything with brass or metal workings.

Ideas?
