Check the condenser coils for lint and fuzz build-up  on the condenser, Is the fan  operating at full R.P.M.?   (apx. 1350 rpm )........... the ball of ice, where the cap tube is connected to evap coil,  you have a low to almost no charge in the system.......the refrigerant circulating thru the the system helps cool the compressor .....no charge ..no cooling ...   The warranty used to be 15 years on the sealed system,  A 1 to 5 years complete coverage.... 6  to  10 sealed system  parts and labor 11 to  15  parts only..... call Sub-zero and ask.  Give model# serial # and location of the unit.     I repair in- warranty units  but not factory authorized....... I am the only Tech. in  80 miles....  I call Sub-Zero from the customers home  and get pre approved....The customer pays me and the customer gets reimbursed from the manufacture.......

Thanks for the info. Will try contacting Sub Zero but the closest dealer appears to be about 250 miles away. Have tryed to notify owner of problem. This is a weekly rental at the beach and the owner is gonna' have to make the call on this one to repair replace with cheaper unit.

A 2711 with a six digit SN? Got to be at least 20 years old (no warranty) and definitely an R 12 job. At least it has 2 compressors. What is the overall condition of the unit? If it is near salt air I bet the cabinet is getting rusty. Prolly not worth fixing, I'd tell the owner to get a new inexpensive top mount fridge unless it would spoil the kitchen's look.

Thanks AccApp for the info. Unit is in pretty good condition but the cost of repair is not going to be cheap as replacement. Freezer compressor is getting weak too. Will only get down to 10.
