Unit throws F1-E3 error(configuration mismatch) after oven heats through several cycles and shuts down. Unit will restart after it cools down some. Problem is intermittent and does not occur each bake cycle. Harness to P1 connector is correctly installed per tech sheet. Suspect high temps at top of oven door(170F) is affecting control board located directly above. Either door hinges or gasket is suspect. Very little heat loss at sides of door, only at top. Anyone got any ideas?

sounds like dirty / bad connections at P1 & P3 Jumpers mentioned in the KESC300HBL6 Tech Sheets

Has the owner used Self-Clean lately ?

Can you monitor the temperature in the Control Panel ?

Does the Cooling Fan & the Cooling Fan Bi-Metal work ?

"When the temperature of the chassis reaches 40˚C (104˚F), the bi-metal switch  closes, and turns on thecooling fan...

... Air then flows across the chassis below the control panel, and cools it."

:oops:Once again I spoke too soon. The Evil Demon has not been Vanquished. The bi metal switch was only part of the problem. Unit keeps throwing F1-E3 fault intermittently. Seems to do it mostly  about 15 to 20 minutes into the first bake cycle. Reset temp and Start and unit operates properly, or at least it has for the last two hours that I've been sittin' here. Readings for the discolored area in attached picture. (Sorry about the quality, cell phone camera and poor lighting, you get the idea.) R33-9vdc, D5-11vdc, R8-25vdc, Q6-16vdc, and C18-5-6vdc. Control board is $242 and change at RC. Any ideas before I make the call?

The dark areas don't necessarily look bad.

Does the Cooling Fan now work ?

It may just be some bad connectors / connections from using Self-Clean.

Cooling fan works and have reseated all connectors. After throwing the fault within the first 15 to 20 minutes of Start of bake cycle it has operated properly for the past two hours at 375 degrees. This unit is in a B&B and the Cooks ain't happy with the fact that they can't put something in the oven at 375 and walk away and not have to worry about it shutting down before the bread is baked.
