I know this is an easy one for you guys.  If an oven sensor is open (no ohmn reading what so ever) what will the symptoms be? Will it heat at all or run to high temperature?

Depends on Model Number, but the Electronic Controller will usually sense the Fault and won't work.

Thanks RegUS.  This is a GE  jbp35bb4wh.  It will heat for a little while and then stop cooking altogether.  I can't get any ohm reading on the sensor.  My meter may need watering.  It is a new one and I don't trust it yet.

I replaced the board and it working fine when i left but still confusd about the ohm reading.

Thanks again
