Kenmore Slide in Range # 790.46802992

Good customer called about her stove. Said that one day the switch was hard to turn, burner didn't work then turned easier back. Now, no burner but the light is on constant. So I am pretty sure it is going to be the switch. I have the switch (dual burner switch, $110 my cost, Wow) but I have never worked on a slide in. The controls are on the front. Being a Kenmore I can't locate a service manual, and the Frigidaire TIPS site doesn't seem to list a slide in Range.  Anyone have a service manual ? or could tell me how to get into it to change the switch ?

Thanks

Mike

I though I had something, but can't find it...

except for the SearsParts site ...

I'll do some more looking and post another message if I find anything...

The one I worked on :  remove the right and left side screws at consul  at the point where the slide in touches the counter top .  Tilt the control forward and have fun.  Another I worked on(the make???) was to remove the control knobs and then the black plastic nuts and lift up the cover.

Thanks for the input. Couldn't locate any kind of manual for this unit and the tech sheet was nowhere to be found, but it went ok.  I had to remove 2 screws from each side of control panel, and 2 at the bottom of the panel, then lift the glass top up about an inch to get the control panel out. Replacement from the original switch to the authorized replacement kit for this dual burner was a little confusing, and the terminal markings are so tiny I had to use my strong reading glasses, but it went back together and seemed to be working properly.

I appreciate the help:)

Mike
