I have an old York heat pump unit whichh is killing my electricity bills. Trying to get more info on the unit I have (tonnage, seers, etc) or maybe a user manual. Any info on this York model (E2FD036S06A) would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Mark

Three ton unit. What information do you need ?

What's your outdoor temperature & your location

Is the Compressor running ?

Is it 8 SEER?

I am located on Long Island (New York) and the compressor does not run under 30 degrees, so basically I have been running on 100% electric for the past 2 months. Killing my bills.

Trying tot undertsand approximately how much I would save to go up to a 14 SEER unit or 16 SEER. And then understand if it pays to go to 16 SEER vs the 14 SEER.

Did you ever get in touch with Louis ?

The increase in SEER won't help much at those low temperatures if the Compressor doesn't run...

Is gas available (NG, Propane, etc) (cheaper than electric, in your area) ?

Heat pumps are crap when the temps are below 30ish degrees.
