Hampton Bay Dehumidifier CFZ 160 flashing power light

I have the above dehumidifier and the power light flashes quickly on the display, what I have read is that it is a temp sensor failure. I found two sensors, one on the back that appears to be for humidity, another next to the condenser coils ( I assume that is it) Any solutions or ways I can get this up and running. I actually have purchased a new unit but I'm giving this one to a family in need who has a child with medical issues. Thanks
