We woke up this morning to find the condenser running but no air coming out of the ducts.  Turned the thermostat (programmable) off but still it ran.  Finally pulled the breaker.  Bad switch?  Time for a new one?  The air handler was done in 2001 and is still good.

Likely a stuck contactor. With all power turned off remove the access panel on the condensing unit & take a look. Here is what you are lookin for  60025 and I'll throw in a picture at no extra cost. The contact (yours may have 2) should spring back up, if does not push in see if the contacts are welded/burned together.
