Owner said unit started making a rattling sound and then smelled insulation burning. Tried to take ohm readings on mag, capacitor and transformer, but because of location these old mitts of mine wouldn't fit into the space allowed. Put wires back on and  started unit only to have it fry the connector from the transformer to the capacitor. Any ideas  which part is bad??? Hate these over the range units anyway!

The only way I could work on those puppies was to take them out  -  put a towel on table and take off cabinet and then do the testing.. Hate when these are same labor rate as the counter top units.  The glass top stove I could move , the glass top cook top made me nervous.
