Did you look in the control compartment? As I recall, on this model, they had a nice folded up schematic printed on plastic tucked in there.

Thanks. Someone else has already ripped off the diagram in question. Unit having a defrost problem. Calrod heater does not get very hot(no blisters when touched). Terminating thermostat has been replaced but connections seem to be suspect. Defrost timer has been replaced also according to owner. Evap coil ices up resulting in freezer hovering around ten degrees.

Defrost problems can usually be solved blind (without the schematic) by process of elimination. Measure the voltage at the heater terminals-- might be getting junk voltage (something way less than the required 120vac). Measure resistance of defrost heater. Measure continuity of the defrost thermostat.

I agree of Fermented One however someone changed out the defrost thermostat and decided it needed a second one for some reason. Wasn't sure if the second one was OEM as the parts diagram didn't say if it used one or two thermostats. Can't remember runnin' across one with  two thermostats before, but you never know what the folks that design these things are gonna' throw at us.

In any event, they need to be closed to allow defrost, no?
