Today I looked at this range - complaint was a loud boom while baking and the breaker tripped. They reset the breaker and the top works but no bake. After seeing the element was ok, I decided to take the switch/display console off. I removed 4 screws from the underside and 4 more under the cooktop  but ... I can't get it off. What's holding it in? Really, stop laughing...ok, keep laughing, but does anyone know how it comes off? dump ol cuzzin sam

Thanks Reg, that diagram just made me smarter, or at least, will make me "appear" smarter. Thanks again
