The belt slips on spin.  Never seen an idler pulley on this before.  How is that tiny spring supposed to keep the tension?  Should the belt be as tight as on a washer that doesn't have an idler pulley?

Well hang on. Looking at the part photos. The pulley wheel slipped off the shaft. Now I just have to see what kept it on there in the first place.

Sorry thanks. The post, clip, and washer were all still on there. What threw me off was the metal center of the plastic pulley wheel stayed behind and was still on the post.

Fixed and thanks.

The belt melts the plastic part of the pulley off sometimes if the bearing of the idler pulley gets worn enough to make it seize.
