Whirlpool HW heater FGIH5040T3NV Pilot Tube question.

My son in law broke the end off the Pilot tube of their Nat Gas HW heater.  I haven't see it in person, they sent the attached Pic.  My question is can the Pilot tube be replaced.  I know the therncouple can.

Would anyone have a service manual for this HW heater.  I searched the net and came up empty.  I believe it was MFG in the 1992 time frame.
