need info on Moncrief elecrtic furnace

I am moving into a different house, it has 2 furnaces/air condiioners.  They look to be original with the house which was built in 1988.

The house is all electric everything, no gas.  I have not tried to turn on the AC yet because it's cold outside, and the outdoor units are sitting on very sloped ground (erosion)

Both units do make heat, but one in particular looks like it needs repair, for some reason somebody removed the return ductwork to the unit that heats the main floor of the home.  There is just a filter laying on it.

I really would like to find some info on these units, anything would be good but I would really like a wiring diagram/schematic.

They have the name "Moncrief" on them.

Model numbers are NAMB-FD10AA,  NAMB-FD14AC

You must have had great luck with your system. It is well past average life for an air conditoner in a climate that reaches an average temperature of 100....

..... Due to the age of your unit, if it ends up being in need of a major repair, you should strongly consider replacing it.

Thanks for the post. I was hoping to find a wiring diagram though.

Probably will heed the advice on the last line of your post. I actually would like to replace the entire HVAC system, but for right now that's just too costly

Here's a picture of it.  It's the only pic I currently have. This is the unit with the missing return ductwork.

I'm not living in the house yet, but can post more pics soon

Anyway your "Moncrief" looks to be a no name brand of "YORK"

Look for something like "unitory products group" on the label. If you see that, it is made by york.

Try searching for info under the LUXAIRE brand or YORK and NAMB . Don't use the whole model number.

Thanks for the info! Yea,, the garden hose sure is nice.. Wasn't my doing, that's how the unit is from the previous owner.

Sorry, I can't help with a schematic.

I would not assume your fancoil does not work just because it doesn't have return ductwork. If I were to guess , it was installed by the prior homeowner or one of his relatives that did a/c work for a WHOLE month. The job was done bad and never finished judging by the garden hose and missing return.

That furnace does work, for now. Blows nice hot air. I just assume that it's going to give me problems and it'd be nice to have materials to help troubleshoot..

If you haven't already, look inside the blower compartment. All units come with diagrams pasted inside the unit(somewhere). If it is there it will either be on the blower housing(possibly covered in dust/ mold and difficult to see), on inside of the cover you just took off(those sometimes go missing because they can peel off, also difficult to see due to dust and mold) or inside of the panel that covers all the electrical parts .
