Father in law has a Trane XV90 with Perfect Fit Filter System. It will not stop sparking.? Heat is working fine. He has 2 units side by side. Sounds like the aprk is coming from the perfect fit filter box or lower right front of Trane unit? It is a 12000 sq ft house and I am in the other end of house upstairs and can still hear sparking through vents????

Update 20 mins later:  sparking has slowed to every 10 secs but I notice if I turn switch off on the "perfect fit box "on front of unit? it stops. Also while sparking the light on perfect fit box flashes off and on green.

That would be an EAC (Electronic Air Cleaner) ?

Are the Filters dirty ?

Have you just caused a lot of dust/smoke in your house or jostled some dust in your Vents, etc ..

that the Air Cleaner is trying to remove ?

stopped sparking after an hour. Gonna check filter in morning and post follow up
