I have a Kenmore washer Mod # 110.20172001 that has a spin problem.  The washer spins but it doesn't seem to get the job done.  The clothes come out very damp.

Thanks,

Wan

Right before Spin, does it go into "Neutral Drain" mode

(pumps water out before Spin) ?

No, it does not.  It starts to spin and drain at the same time.

Does the Washer Motor (Timer) pause for a few seconds right before Spin  ?

(can be simulated with opening the Lid)

Yes, the washer/motor pauses for a few seconds and then it starts to spin and drain.  So,  that means that the neutral-drain mechanism must not be resetting properly?

I ran the washer to see if the neutral drain was working and it was not, but I threw a towel in there to see if it would spin it out and it seemed to have done the job this time.  Did it work because it wasn't a large load?

Thanks,

Wan

Did it Drain before Spin ?

Or it woked OK because it was a small load and there wasn't much water in there ..

If the room temperatue or the Oil in the Transmission is cold, it may not work ...

The earlier versions of the Direct Drive washers didn't have the Drain before Spin ...
