no water coming into icemaker. emitter and reciever board tested good. Ice maker went through harvest cycle and made the watervalve(with circuit board attached)Part #2305225 click (sounded like relay) but no electro magnetic valve sound and no water of course. Should I go ahead and replace this valve or is there another test I should do to make sure it's the Smart Valve or not (Smart Valve are they kidding us)Thanx for the help Dan the Appliance Man

probably do have a bad valve, but to be on the safe side you can jump N & V on the module and see if you are getting voltage to the valve for sure

no ...

some Diagnostic tests:

Test 15   Smart Valve Software Version

Displays the Smart Valve Software version on digits 1 to 3 on the UI display

Test 20   Water Dispensing and Icemaker Fill Test

Displays Icemaker status on Digit 1, Initiate Icemaker Fill and verify display changes from "0" to "3"

If a water dispense is in progress while the Icemaker is initiated, the display will change to "1"

Once the water dispense is complete, the icemake fill will begin and the display will change to "3" as long as it is not interupted by a water dispense.

Displayes water valve status on Digit 2 and flowsensor status on Digit 3

Initiate water dispense and verify Digit 2 changes to "1" and Digit 3 changes to "0" during water disopense

Not sure if the coils on the valve are AC or DC, but if you perform the jump test on the module on N and V and check your voltage accross P3 and P4 on the valve you should have your answer
