WONT SPIN..CANT EVEN TURN TRANSMISSION BY HAND....LOOKS LIKE ILL BE DOING A BEARING JOB

Or transmission.....make sure nothing is between the tubs first

What is the best way to determine if i have a bad transmission or a bad bearing?

Usually if you spin bearing is bad its because of a leak in the stem kit seal. Remove the fron cover and look under the tub at the black seal...can you see where water has been seeping out the holes or a ring of gunk all the way around the enterior of the cabinet ?
