Cannot set oven temp over 250 degs. It works at lower temps but when set to 350 and the start button is pushed  ' err ' is displayed....

I think you are correct, it could be in Celsius......when I tried to set for 350 degs. and it was in Cel. that would be appx.  700 degs. F....... I will have to wait till the owners come back in two weeks to check out the settings.............The service manual does not have the info that the owners manuals  has, I.E. change F to C or on some dishwashers, the control lockout feature....
