Can the whirlpool modulor ice maker be tested on the bench, or does it need to be at 17 degrees for the manual harvest test to work?

What is the purpose of attaching the power wire to the bottom of the mold?

How long does the jumper need to be be at T&H to begin harvest?

This apprentice humbly awaits your wisdom!

Typically you would check it in the unit rather than on the bench, you would have to devise a patch cord to supply voltage to the proper pins to the I'M harness.

The thermostat doesn't have to be 17 to manually cycle the uniyt by ther T and H test ports because this by bypasses ther thermostat.

When you install the juper into the test ports (T and H) generally you don't need to leave the jumper in any longer than 10 seconds as long as the unit immediately begins to cycle. Listen for the contacts to click with rotation first begins.

Most wiring harnesses typically include a thermal fuse which is kept in contact (or near contact) with the mold with a small stainless steel clip. If the I/M overheats for any reason it kills power to the I/M , a good thing.

Did you send that to me, Reg? If so, apologies. I rectum that age-induced brain shrinkage is stating to catch up with me!

Edit: Ah, I see, I got from another topic here you posted it. Appl.tech has been sending me so many wiring diagrams that I'm starting to get confoosed!
