Hi all, the brakes don't seem to be releasing on this washer. The cams on both the pulley and the uh, lower piece with the splines don't look worn and when I try to spin it by hand they don't seem to rise to thier highest points. There are 2 spacers/washers above the pulley that ride against the brake fingers and as an experiment I slid a small washer between the pulley top and the spacer and when I spun the belt by hand the brake seems to be releasing so...does this mean the thrust assembly IS worn and not spreading far enough apart to release the brakes? Thanks guys, Cuz

That sounds like your problem, This doesn't come in a kit. You have to get the pulley and helix seperately

should I assume that if one is worn they both need to be replaced? or would it be possible or advisable to stack another spacer in there?

if it's your personal machine I would stack a couple of washers, if it's for a customer replace the pulley and helix.
