Ive got a water valve part # 1164345  on a Kenmore reffer Mod # 10674252400. The valve works fine, but has a small drip on the line going to the filter. I pulled out the line and trimed it back. Made it better but still has drip about every 10 seconds. Any tricks or do I just need to replace the valve?

The drip is comming from where the tube inserts into the valve. It has those push in type connections. Any tricks?

Replace the valve...isn't worth the risk of ruining the floor.

On your advise I installed a new valve. Works great!!  I did notice that the tubing pushs in about a 1/4" farther than the old valve.

Question, how long will the filter last under normal usage? ( family of 4)

..............Thanks!

Chlorinated city water? No more than 6 months before break-through. Well water? May be able to go a year.
