Help!  I'm starting to mold because my dehumidifier won't work!  Whenever reset (by turning off and on, taking out the bucket and putting it back in, unplugging and plugging back in, or resetting the humidistat) the fan will cycle on for exactly two minutes (I timed it with a stopwatch several times).  Sometimes the compressor kicks in, but not always.  The system will shut down in exactly two minutes no matter what.  It will restart right away by doing a reset again.  Everything seems to be in good shape.  I just replaced the fan motor last summer and I keep the evaporator clean.

Auto Restart

• Once power is restored after a power outage,

the unit returns to its previous operation setting after a 2 minute delay.

The fan runs immediately when the power is restored

soo... it's returning to it's "previous operation setting"

which it may think is OFF, or the Humidity Control / Humidity Sensor (or Controller)  isn't working

If it thinks the previous condition is "off", how do I convince it differently?  Also, is it safe to assume that the humidistat and humidity control are normally open type contacts so that if I jumper them I can make the thing run full open.  Would you agree?
