Can I expect to receive service calls on microwave ovens regularly?

Other then  a blown fuse, is labour worth it?

I don't mind learning more.

I do not even take microwave oven repair service calls....If you take the call, diagnose it, return with the part, install the part.... how much more for the customer to buy a new unit???  Sometimes 15 miles one way,  60 total miles.......... plus time..............Sears has sales on new unit for $200.00   O.T.R. units .................  Just checked Sears........ $ 175.00 for a Kenmore,  O.T.R. white............ $ 215.00 for stainless...............

Its worth it if its a high end convection model otherwise have them bring the unit to you for repair. That is unless you do warranty work.

Been trying to learn these also. If the calls are close to you, you might make some money. Stocking parts on the truck is a must. You cant go running after a $12 switch.

Jury is still out!!!

Only thing you need to stock for microwaves is ....

Fuse, diode, microswitches

QB makes a universal diode that will work in any application

All other parts there are to many differences to stock unless your working on a specific brand on a regular basis.

I removed an over stove microwave, and installed a new Kenmore for a friend.

I was thinking of getting into drop off work at my house. I may purchase some generic switches. Thanks all.
