Does anyone know of a part number for a kit containing several different refrigerator Defrost Limits switches.

I would like to have some around encase a defrost problem pops up.

5303917954 is the friggy universal, has 2 brackets and is 55 degreees, it can be used to replace any thermo within 10% of that temp

friggy has a second kit with a 47 degrees therm as well, but its dark and i couldn't find that one in the van tonight

havn't seen a kit like that

the inexpensive limiters can just be ordered with part number DTS(temp rating) i.e dts45

a DTS45 and DTS55 will do almost all fridges  the rare oldie will use DTS60 but in my opinion 60 is overkill and leads to premature freezer burn

Thanks again toast! Seems friends are finding out about me being a grasshopper repairman.

Yesterday I got a call " My food is thawing". I got his evap de-iced ,now to test the limits, drain, and heater.

I need to have a few defrost limits around.

Its good to have a 50,55,60,65,and 70 on your truck. Can't buy a kit that contains them all, have to buy seperately. The 47 that Brnt. Referred to is suitable for "most" of the frigidaire made units. A lot of the newer whirlpool units use between 60 and 70 to allow the heater to stay on a little longer to deplete those frozen water droplets that customers hate to see on the evap. Cover

If you want to buy very well priced generic limits of all temp ranges, go to WWW.ASPENSAFETY.COM. They also have a wide variety of all appliance parts, factory and after market. They also have a one year warranty on all parts.
