Frigidaire Stacker Washing Machinge FTF1240FS1 not starting

Gurus, Shoguns, Samurai and fellow Grasshoppers,

Frigidaire Stacker Washing Machinge FTF1240FS1 doesn't start after going through the usual starting procedure.

Which is close door, cycle knob to desire setting, wait for "Door Lock" light to come on then pull the Cycle Knob to start the machine, the machine should start but does absolutely nothing. No buzzing sound or any clicking sound(relay sound) even. Called the Frigidaire support number and the tech lady thought that the timer was possibly shot( after only 18 months crap/がらくた).

Question 1) Is the tech support lady right that it is most likely the timer ?

Question 2) Any test or procedures for confirming the problem or clarifying the problem ?

Question 3) What is the easiest procedure or best procedure for changing the timer ?

Domo Arigato,

Tim

Got Power ?

check power at plug

next check the cord connection under the washer top, if there is a dryer on top it must be removed, just inside the washer top near the back panel is a white quick connect where the cord joins the harness, these sometimes come loose

after that check, the next is a good visual inspection of the timer and timer plugs, a bad off balance load can cause the tub to smash into the bottom of the timer, this crushes the timer case and loosens the bottom plug on the timer

post back if all this checks out ok

Domo Arigoto Brnt Toast,

I was wondering since the unit is a front load washer, if the timer was right behind the cycle knob and if removing the top panel (under the stacked dryer) is the best/only way to get to the timer.

yuppers

its power or timer

i even second guessed myself and went and opened the door to my 2140 friggy washer and pulled the timer knob and the door lock still lights, so it cant even be a door lock

check that plug inside the cabinet on the power cord, i've fixed those a few times

post back and let us know, any replies to fixes help future grasshoppers

Turned out to be the door sensor.

Thanks for all your input.
