Just saw one of these today in the show room. Is this Kenmore front loader made by LG?:?

I was trying to figure out if it was a souped up WP Duet.

An LG washer with a Kenmore label.

Since "biblical times"---Sears & Whirlpool had renewed their 3 year "contract" to sell Whirlpool-built washers with the Kenmore label.

Until recently.

LG & Sears made an agreement (for 3 years) to sell several different LG-built appliances under the Kenmore label.

A smaller percentage of some Kenmore branded appliances are still--as before--Frigidaire / Whirlpool / GE built.

Thanks John. I need to find a junk front loader to take apart/ fix. So far its been tuff finding one on the curb or junk yard.

Do you get many calls for the Duet or LG washers?

Yes--both are very popular & have been sold in the millions over almost ten years since they were first introduced.

Learning to repair front load washers is a must. Technology is fast moving away from more traditional appliances. With federal government mandates to conserve energy & water--these newer appliances make it possible.

Not all are bad---but more often than not---the high tech stuff is lacking for durability for the "long haul".

Not much that we servicers can do about it--totally out of our league. The smartest thing that you can do---would be to learn the basic stuff first before leaping into the world of totally digitally-controlled washers.
