Just spoke with a cust I replaced a dryer belt for yesterday. She said she has water from the dryer vent! Any thoughts where this is from and the solution? The dryer was full of lint, but I cleaned it up and replaced the broken belt. HELP!

Vent full of lint and making water... these are classic signs of a bad vent. Could be too long, constructed of wrong materials, too many turns or bends, etc. Some background info on dryer vents==> http://fixitnow.com/wp/2009/06/11/dryer-venting-requirements/

The water is probably coming from the vapor condensing inside the vent.

That's a pretty common complaint in these parts this time of year, as the High today reached minus 19 degrees C today in the sun, shovelmainia the last week with about 2 feet of the Whitestuff in storage all around. Sump'n tells me that isn't as apt to happen in your climate without some serious ventage issues.

I should mention that winter isn't all bad as on the flipside, it makes a great help for storing freezer food when repairing fridges !

Had my share of that when I lived in Michigan! I'll take the heat anytime!:D

ya, but always remember if you suggest storing the food outside, use a cooler or rubbermaid, i've had several customers rant that neighbors pets got their food that was in cardboard boxes

and ya, i get several complaints of leaking dryers a year too, pulled a vent one time and got a boot full of water  :(

i've had it 2 times. both times the dryer was vented into crawl space. the wter heater pop-off had blown drectly behind the wall and was vented into the crawl space. steam was condensing in the dryer.. also new steam dryers will leak...
