If there is indeed a Service Manual for this unit, I'd like to obtain a copy BEFORE it's needed. :)

Figuring out how to remove the blower for a cleaning is high on my list, and I'd like to perform that task with the fewest number of innocent bystanding pieces destroyed as possible. <VBG>

The fragile sand based controls have been protected by a three metal oxide varistor array that I installed shortly after the installer left,back in October of 1995.
