This is a propane unit converted from natural gas when originally installed.

The blower starts, then the ignitor glows red hot but it doesn't light.

I can hear the gas valve click after the ignitor gets hot but the burners never light.

Don't smell any gas so I don't think the valve is opening.

It did this about a week ago, had the gas company look at it but of course

when he checked it, it worked flawlessly. It did this couple days ago and I tapped on

the valve and pressure switch and it fired up. Tried tapping on it again last night

but it never fired up. What do you guys think? Bad gas valve?

Any help greatly appreciated.

Make sure your hose is connected tight between the pressure switch and the inducer. Blow the little hose out so nothing can cause it to loose suction.

It sure sounds like a bad gas valve to me.....

To Verify .... you need to take a voltage reading at the valve . After the igniter glows for a bit (but before it stops glowing) you should should read somewhere around 24 volts ac at the valve. If you read 24 volts at the valve ....and no gas flows.... you have a bad valve.

### It is possible that a insect may have built nests that are blocking gas flow, so check that too.
