Confused old washer

Recommended Posts

I have an old Kenmore washer Model # 110.82370100 that thebasket spins at the same time as it's agitating. Is there an easy cure for this? There is alot of things happening under that washer, but everything looks to be intact.

Thanks,

Wan

Ahhh - the good old belt drive; check to make sure that the wig wag plunger that controls the spin cam bar has not become bent, or the cam bar itself worn on the top

make sure to check the brake pad on top of the basket drive assembly. that brake is there to insure that the basket doesn,t spin during agitation. it also stops the basket from spinning when you lift the lid, so check that first.
